Stay
About the destination: The city of Buenos Aires is the capital and largest city of Argentina. Approximately 3 million people live in this city. Including the metropolitan area, the total population of Buenos Aires is above 12 million, making it one of the 10 most populated urban centres in the world. Buenos Aires is a huge city, with plenty of neighbourhoods to visit and so much to see and do! The wonderfully colourful neighbourhood right next to the old port of Buenos Aires, La Boca is synonymous with both tango and football. With its multi-coloured houses and taverns, the neighbourhood maintains its tango tradition, football passion, and Italian roots. Today, it is one of the most important cultural centres and tourist attractions in Buenos Aires. Take a walking tour, watch a game at the famous Boca stadium or attend a local tango show. San Telmo, the oldest residential neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, exudes a special historical vibe. As one of the most important centres during the 19th century, San Telmo has preserved many of Buenos Aires’ architectural landmarks, museums, antique shops and old churches. Puerto Madero is a new neighbourhood full of restaurants and bars. It's nice to walk there in a sunny day, the view is pretty nice.Vibrant, nostalgic, seductive and dynamic, Buenos Aires is a European city with Latin-American flavour. Undoubtedly, a truly fascinating city.

About the destination: Mendoza is the capital of the province of Mendoza. The city, located below the stunning peak of Aconcagua, is one of the most beautiful cities in Argentina, with its shady avenues and numerous Plazas where people come together to enjoy the outdoor atmosphere of the city.Plaza Independencia, the biggest and most important square in the heart of downtown, is surrounded by beautiful buildings and restaurants, is a perfect starting point to explore the centre of Mendoza. However, Plaza España is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Plaza de España stands out for its pretty azulejos and shinning floor, the fountain and the gorgeous statue. The gigantic Parque General San Martín is the biggest and most beautiful of Mendoza and one of the city’s highlights. The park has beautiful streets and avenues surrounded by hundreds of species of plants and trees, several fountains, sculptures, gardens and an artificial lake. Wine tasting and visits to vineyards are top activities on visitors' itineraries as well as drinking and dining at any of the many bodegas found all over the city. With a laid-back atmosphere but a lively attitude, Mendoza, the land of sun and wine, is a delightful place to visit.

3. Salta
Stay
About the destination: "Salta is a city located in the Lerma Valley in the North West part of Argentina and it is also the name for the capital city of the Salta Province. It’s a metropolitan area, it has a population of 619,000 inhabitants, which makes it the second most populated city in the northwest of the country. Salta has a subtropical highland climate and it is famous in Argentina for having very pleasant weather. MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS • Cabildo, the old town hall, of 1783, on the Plaza 9 de Julio. Now houses the Museo Histórico del Norte • MAAM museum. The Museo de Arqueología de Alta Montaña exhibits the discovery of the three incas 'Llullaillaco Children' found frozen at the peak of Mount Llullaillaco. They are some of the best preserved mummies in the world (Tu-Su and holidays 11AM-7:30PM). • Iglesia San Francisco, on the corner of Caseros and Córdoba, of 1796, beautiful church with remarkable tower. • Cerro San Bernardo, 1458 m hill just east of the city centre. From Parque San Martin, a cable car. Goes to the summit, 430 metres up the hill overlooking the city, offering spectacular views of the city and its surroundings. Taking 1070 steps up the hill (leaving from the statue of Güemes a little bit north of the cable car station) is another option (about 30 mins). A vast water feature has been built with many interesting features. A meal or a beer is available at the top at reasonable rates. A good way to fill in a couple of hours when it is clear. • Museo Antropológico. Offers a very interesting insight into various indigenous cultures, which have flourished throughout the centuries in this part of Argentina. Avenida Ejército del Norte. • Pajcha. A fantastic museum in Salta and definitely worth a look. It is called ""Pajcha"" and is a collection of traditional art, textiles, icons and jewlery from all over South and Central America. It is facinating. The enthusiasm is palpable and fantastic learning from a knowledgeable source. • Tren a las Nubes, Train to the clouds. As the name tells, it is a day trip by train up in the mountains to La Povorilla at 4220 meters over the sea level. Currently the service has been taken over by the argentine government. It runs from April to November, one time a week (Saturday) with extra services during the high season (Easter & winter holiday). The experience is fantastic as the scenery is rugged and variable with a feast for the eyes at every turn. • Museo El Tribuno Guillermo Pajerrito Velarde, Pueyrredon Wonderfull small house-museum that is a tribute to Velarde (1895-1965), who was a lawyer and banker, but more important a bohemian patron of arts, especially tango, when it was still not accepted by society in Salta. Mo-fr 10am-2pm,3pm-6pm, sa 10am-2pm. "
